About Meydan Horizon

Meydan Horizon is an area located within Bu Kadra, Meydan, Mohammed Bin Rashid City, Dubai.

Homes, design and facilities

Meydan Horizon is a large master-planned development in the Bu Kadra area of Dubai, positioned around the Ras Al Khor Road and Dubai–Al Ain Road corridor. Much of the area remains under construction or planned for future development, and it is expected to take shape gradually over a number of years.

The centrepiece of Meydan Horizon is a planned man-made canal, which forms a major part of the district’s masterplan and as a result, a significant proportion of the residential projects are marketed and classified as waterfront properties.

The district has been part of the wider Meydan development concept since 2010 but its development only started in 2024, with the notable exception of a single skyscraper, API Horizon Point, which was built in 2020.

Development activity has accelerated significantly since 2024, with a growing number of projects announced or launched. These include Mansory Residences, Helvetia Verde, The Caden, Rove Home Meydan Horizon, Al Vista, Everly Place and several others.

Meydan Horizon was originally conceived under Meydan, the master developer responsible for the wider Meydan area and its major component districts. In March 2024, Meydan was incorporated into Dubai Holding alongside Nakheel as part of a government-directed consolidation, with Meydan’s board abolished and its operations integrated into the larger group. The current development activity at Meydan Horizon has taken place after this restructuring, with the district now being built out through individual projects by various private developers.

It is developing as a mixed-use district. Current plans and project launches include apartments, offices, retail space, branded residences and hotels.

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the nearest major places of interest. The protected wetland lies close to the district and is best known for its large populations of migratory birds, particularly flamingos. Despite its close proximity, it will not be reachable on foot due to its location on the opposite side of the Ras Al Khor road.
