About Culture Village

Culture Village is a waterfront development in Al Jaddaf lying between the two bridges over the creek; Al Garhoud Bridge, carrying the E11, and Business Bay Crossing, carrying the Al Khail Road. Besides the cultural and exhibition centres implied by the name, Culture Village is also home to the Palazzo Versace hotel as well as some 30 apartment buildings, shops and over 2,000 parking spaces.

History and development

Formerly known as Arabian Bays, the AED 50,000 million ($13,600 million) mixed-use Culture Village development covers an area of four million square metres on the banks of the creek between Garhoud bridge and the Jadaf shipyards. At its launch in 2006, Dubai Properties, the master developer, said that "the scheme will feature traditional wind towers, waterways and bridges, souks, restaurants, an amphitheatre for live performances and cultural festivals, an exhibition hall, museums and a traditional dockyard".
